UMA offers training that prepares students for work in the high demand Healthcare fields of Medical Assisting, Massage Therapy, Basic x-ray Technician and Phlebotomy.
The Medical/Clinical Laboratory Assistant Program familiarizes students with, performance of “waived” laboratory procedures, EKG procedures blood collection procedures, equipment, collection and handling of specimens, safety and medical ethics, professionalism and anatomy/physiology, including medical terminology and training for Medical Manager, and prepare students for entry-level in-field employment.

The Basic X-ray Program designed for individuals looking to provide
radiological support to physicians in doctors' offices, medical clinics, and
chiropractic centers. You will learn the duties of a Basic X-Ray Technician
including the fundamentals of radiological technology, anatomy, medical
ethics, patient care, and equipment and safety. We will prepare you to take
the Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services (HRS) Basic X-Ray
Machine Operator examination. You will also participate in taking live

Our Medical Assisting Program is designed for individuals looking to provide patient assessment and care in facilities such as Doctors' offices, Medical Clinics, and Blood Service providers. The program trains students in both the administrative and clinical skills necessary to obtain entry level employment as a Medical Assistant and places individuals in clinical internships at local doctor's offices and health care facilities. These internships often lead to job opportunities. Upon completion graduates will receive a Certificate of Completion and will be qualified to take the National Healthcareer Certified Phlebotomy Technician Exam. Click here for more information
The Phlebotomy Program provides training in all the skills required to function as a Phlebotomy Technician in a medical office, clinic, laboratory, or hospital. You will quickly become familiar with blood collection procedures, the utilization of standard phlebotomy equipment, safety and medical ethics, and related medical terminology. The program includes a supervised internship at a local healthcare facility. Upon completion graduates will receive a Certificate of Completion and will be qualified to take the National Healthcareer Certified Phlebotomy Technician Exam. Click here for more information
