Medical/Clinical Laboratory Assistant Program (MCLA)
According to the Agency for Workforce Innovation Labor Market Report published in February 2005, the Health Care market will be among the fastest growing occupations in Florida through 2012. To help fulfill this growing demand, Ultimate Medical Academy (UMA) has designed an accredited Medical/Clinical Laboratory Assistant (MCLA) Program for individuals looking to enter the medical industry as a medical or clinical lab assistant. UMA students will learn about the following:

Ultimate Medical Academy’s specialized program trains students in both administrative and clinical setting, and provides the skills necessary to obtain entry-level employment. Among other things, UMA’s laboratory technician program familiarizes students with basic lab procedures, EKG, blood collection, instruction and use of medical equipment, handling of specimens, safety and medical ethics, professionalism, anatomy/physiology and medical terminology. Upon completion of the medical clinical laboratory assistant program, graduates will receive a Certificate of Completion and will be qualified to sit for the National Health Career Association’s (NHA) National Certified Medical Laboratory Assistant (C.M.L.A.) examination. Graduates can look forward to job placement in health care facilities such as doctor’s offices, medical clinics, and blood service providers. Ultimate Medical Academy also provides job placement assistance for UMA graduates.
